All lighting displayed in our showroom can be returned within 28 days at your own cost if complete with the original receipt this excludes bulbs and items from our Non-Returnable product list. The product must be in its original packaging complete with all parts including lamps and ceiling plates. The product must not have been altered or wired in any way. The box must not be written on or be taped with any tape other than clear. Please note the product box must also not be damaged in anyway and must arrive back to us in its original condition.
PRODUCT BOXES MUST BE PLACED INSIDE AN EXTERNAL BOX FOR A SAFE RETURN OR SECURED WITH EXTERNAL PACKING.
This excludes special orders. After 28 days we are unable to accept returns. For products purchased online, these may be considered a special order - Please see "Special Orders" below.
If these conditions are not met we can not accept your return, You will need to pay a delivery charge to have your order returned to you or you can arrange your own courier to collect from us.

Please do not send items back to us until advised as any unauthorized returns will be declined and resent back to you.
Once your return has been approved orders are to be returned at your own cost and you must not write on the items box.
Please attach a printed out returns note or a hand written note with the returns address to it, Only use clear tape and we cannot accept returns where the box has been written on or where the product box is damaged.
Please do not stick your returns label directly onto the product box. Please attach to an outer box or outer packaging and pack well to avoid any damages.
All faults and shortages must be reported to us within 3 days of collection or delivery of your order. These faults include missing parts, damaged glass and general flaws. After 3 days we cannot accept responsibility for any faults. Replacement parts (where available) would have to be paid for after 3 days. If you are having renovations done to your home we recommend you check your products straight away and store them in a safe location to avoid damage on site. All electrical faults are covered by the fittings 1 guarantee and do not have to be reported within 3 days.
Please note we are unable to offer exchanges on damaged fittings once they have been installed. This is not applicable to electrical faults.
Please check you are happy with all fittings before installing them. We are not liable for cosmetic damage once they have been installed - It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect all goods prior to any installation work, We cannot accept returns for any cosmetic imperfections reported after the item has been installed, these will not be considered for return or exchange.
All electrical goods are covered by a 1-year guarantee unless a longer guarantee is stated. Where possible we will have your fitting repaired or replaced. Failing this we will provide a full refund or offer you a product to the same value providing the above conditions are met. Cp Lighting is not liable for any electricians costs involving the repair, return or replacement of any light fitting. If any of the above is unclear or you would like to know our policy on a particular product please ask a member of staff who will be happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

Special orders are subject to a 25% handling charge to return the product back to our suppliers.
Many products sold on our website are special orders, Please contact our showroom BEFORE placing your order to check if we have this particular item as a stock line to avoid a charge to return.

If you are unsure if any product on our website is a special order please contact us on (0191) 440 1111 and a member of staff will be more than happy to check this for you. All stocked items will display a banner on the product image saying "On Display In Our Showroom"
These include Bespoke or Made To Order products, Bespoke Products, All David Hunt Lighting Products, All Switches & Sockets, Bulbs, Electrical & Wiring Accessories, reed diffusers and a small percentage of products displayed both online and in our showroom. The relevant stamp will be present on your receipt (if purchased in-store) to indicate this.
We do not offer a credit note / Exchange or Refund on these item(s).
All wallpaper is non returnable, Cp Lighting & Interiors are not liable for any roll calculations resulting in excess rolls or shortages. Roll quantities are to be supplied by your decorator. All wallpaper / paste / paints can not be returned or exchanged.

Reduced boxed sale items will be given a credit note valid for 1 year. Reduced unboxed / Ex Display items (Please see below)
These are “Sold As Seen” and are strictly non-returnable (unless electrically faulty) They must be checked to your satisfaction before they leave the showroom. This includes full priced and sale Ex Display items.
Please note we do not ship outside of the UK, you are able to collect from our warehouse(s) using your own courier. Cp Lighting & Interiors are not liable for any damages once the product(s) leave our warehouse or for any shipping, import, export or customers charges that are applied by ports or governments. We strongly recommend adding insurance and tracking to all courier collections. We recommend you seek advise from your local courier regarding any / all imports.
